NodeDraft has zero server dependencies. We do not operate cloud sync servers, central databases, or analytical telemetry pipelines. When you create a mind-map, link nodes, or write markdown notes, your data never leaves your hardware.
The application works seamlessly without requiring an internet connection or account login.
2. Information We Do NOT Collect
Because NodeDraft does not communicate with external servers, we never collect, log, or share:
- Zero Intellectual Property / Note Content: Node titles, node descriptions, connections, markdown text, and canvas layouts are never transmitted or viewed by us.
- Zero Personal Identifiable Information (PII): No usernames, email addresses, phone numbers, or credentials.
- Zero Telemetry or Analytics: We do not track feature usage, canvas zoom levels, or node counts.
- Zero Geolocation Data: NodeDraft never requests or accesses GPS or network location.
- Zero Advertising Identifiers: No device advertising tracking IDs (GAID/IDFA) are used.
3. Information Stored Locally on Your Device
All data created within NodeDraft is saved strictly in your device's sandboxed local application storage:
- Mind-Map Canvases: Canvas titles, node coordinates (X/Y positions), parent-child hierarchies, connecting edges, and color tags.
- Node Content & Markdown Notes: Rich-text note bodies, bullet lists, checklist statuses, and collapsible state flags.
- Canvas Layout Settings: Zoom levels, panning offsets, grid alignment preferences, and dark/light canvas themes.
- Recent Documents: Local file references and sorting preferences.
4. Device Permissions Explained
NodeDraft requests only minimal permissions necessary for local productivity:
- File Storage / Document Access (Optional): Required only when you explicitly choose to export your diagrams as PNG, SVG, PDF, Markdown (.md), or JSON files, or import an existing diagram file.
5. Data Ownership, Backups & Deletion
You own 100% of the creative and intellectual property you produce in NodeDraft:
- Complete Control: You can delete any node, branch, or entire document canvas at any moment.
- Instant Data Erasure: Uninstalling NodeDraft or clearing app data in your device system settings permanently deletes all stored canvases.
- Portable Open Formats: You can export your maps to open markdown and vector formats anytime.
6. GDPR & CCPA/CPRA Legal Compliance
Because NodeDraft maintains zero remote servers and stores no user data:
- Data Portability: All documents are directly accessible and exportable on your device.
- Right to Erasure: Deleting files locally erases them completely without remote retention.
- No Data Monetization: We do not sell, rent, or trade your brainstorms, documents, or data.
7. Children's Online Privacy (COPPA)
NodeDraft is safe for students, educators, and creators of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 (or under 16 in the European Union).
8. Third-Party Services
NodeDraft contains no third-party telemetry, tracking libraries, or advertising networks. Any external web links to app stores operate under their respective privacy policies.
